Luxury Rustic & Vintage Barn Wedding Inspiration

I was so excited to be a part of this styled shoot at Cissbury Barns in West Sussex - just look at the mood board! The coordinators for the day were Alex Constandin Photography and Luna and the Lane who both did a fantastic job.

I put my ideas down for hair and makeup to what I thought would go with the style. We went for soft, golden, glowy makeup and a relaxed low bun to show off the back of the dress which was provided by Clara Fitz Bridal.

Before I share more photos, first you need to check out the video that Neil Collins Films made! I unfortunately am unable to post it in my blog (technology fail!) but you can find the link to the video here. If you’re looking for a wedding videographer, Neil is your man! He was brilliant to have around and you will have an amazing video to look back on after your wedding day.

Cissbury Barns is a gorgeous venue located in the heart of the South Downs. There are 2 barns: the beautiful East Barn for a romantic space to say “I do” and the West Barn with their suspended fairy light canopy and stunning crystal or rustic chandelier to hold your wedding breakfast and reception. It is very private due to being surrounded by woodland. Beautiful brick and flint walled gardens, a paved patio with an inviting stretch tent and their fabulous bar area provide attractive and relaxing spaces for more friends and family in the evening.

I loved the styling created by Luna and the Lane, it was perfect for the relaxed atmosphere. Arabella Floral created some lovely decorative pieces using a number of flowers such as Chrysanthemum, Burgundy Ranunculus and Icelandic Poppies. The colours were so pretty and the flowers were also used to decorate the wedding cake made by Rose Petal Company (who also provide Afternoon Tea and will be at Goring Gap, Worthing beach in their Caterpod every weekend until September!).
Harriets Table
, who specialise in vintage crockery hire with a luxury edge, provided the crockery and glassware. Genuinely vintage and sourced with love from British auction houses and antique fairs, each item selected is in exceptional condition and looks good as new.

I’m so impressed with the stationery by Little Green Wedding. Not only does it look so gorgeous, they use luxury tree free papers which come embedded with a range of different seeds to grow beautiful flowers that will last long beyond your big day. Everything they do is zero waste and I love that they are bringing something unique to your wedding stationery.

I’m not usually that much into shoes but I really love this pair created by Diane Hassell. Her portfolio includes shoes she’s designed with Emma Hope and Jimmy Choo and even has shoes in the V&A Museum’s permanent collection. All her designs are handmade and brides are actively encouraged to personalise their wedding shoes which I love, as your pair will be unique and personal.

Garter and Veil provided this gorgeous hair comb and earrings which were the perfect details for the dress. All their heirlooms are thoughtfully designed and hand finished with precise attention to detail, using the finest quality materials. They have something to suit every brides taste, from crowns and statement halo’s to more simple but beautiful hair pins.

More local businesses providing those extra special details were Firefly Watches and Orla James.

Firefly Watches create original, high quality watches which are honestly priced & use only quality materials. Intense passion and the love of horology goes into their designs and only the highest standard will pass their rigorous testing.

Orla James is a family run jewellers based in Worthing, West Sussex. They specialise in wedding rings and can also create custom pieces. They also run ‘Make Your Own’ sessions in their contemporary jewellery studio with the support of their expert bench worker which I think is a great idea!

Last but not least are Bus and Bug Vintage Weddings who provided Mr Tickle, their award winning 1967 VW Beetle! They also provide Vintage Campervans which can be used as a photobooth too - everyone loves a photobooth! Being a family business they pride themselves on going “the extra mile” (figuratively and literally) to ensure your VW experience, bug or bus shaped, is truly unforgettable in every way.

I’ll leave you with some more photos of the hair and makeup I did - if you have any questions please get in touch and don’t hesitate to contact the other amazing suppliers too!
