Skincare advice for stressed skin

Spring is here, which means lighter evenings and warmer days are ahead, yay! We also just lost 1 hour of sleep - boo!

Our circadian rhythm can get mucked up and the light means melatonin (our sleepy hormone) won’t be released as normal.

Some tips for sleep:

  1. Keep to your usual routine

  2. Don’t turn to your phone if you’re struggling to fall asleep

  3. Have a hot bath before bed

  4. Step up your skincare routine to relax yourself with a pamper before getting into bed

  5. Eat your dinner earlier so your body can concentrate on getting you sleepy before bedtime instead of working on digestion

When we lack sleep, other hormones like cortisol are released - our stress hormone. When our skin is stressed, the skin barrier is weakened and dehydrated. You may need to change up a few skincare products to help with this temporary skin condition.
